We spend a lot of time in our dining room, we could be enjoying a meal with family and friends or entertaining guests, it is a room that deserves to look special.

There are lots of styles we could go for elegant modern dining or traditional family dining, there is a lot to consider.

Here are some of our ideas

§         A round dining table is less formal and encourages full conversation, with everyone participating together. 

§         For maximum comfort the seat height feels best when it is nine inches from the table top. 

§         White or light colored tablecloths reflect light upwards providing more illumination for large parties.

§         Dark wood absorbs the light for intimate dining, keeping the room moody and romantic.

There are many different sizes and prices of dining table to choose from there are wooden tables, glass top tables, and different shapes of tables - square, round, oval, circle. This about how big your table needs to be, how many guests will need to site around the table, what kind of atmosphere do you want to create?

Often tables in modern dining rooms will have a removable leaf to allow for the larger number of people present on those special occasions without taking up extra space when not in use.
